Lily Chan has loved baking since the 3rd grade. The moment she saw that first batch of golden-brown, chocolate chip cookies created by her very own hands, a passion for the science of sweets was born. It wasn't just the taste of those cookies that won Lily over, but also the way the simple act of sharing them with others immediately gained their affections. In the years that followed this realization, Lily desperately longed for her very own Easy Bake oven. Unfortunately, all of the cookies she left for Santa to make this wish come true confused him into thinking she already had one--and it never materialized under the tree.
Her dreams of sweets temporarily on hold, Lily did the sensible thing and got a job in finance. After a few years on Wall Street, she had earned enough dough to indulge in her passion and bake her dreams come true. Lily not only took pastry courses at the French Culinary Institute, she also studied with cake-making greats Toba Garrett and Nicholas Lodge. After all of that hard work honing her craft, she founded Lily's Creations in NYC in 2011. To Lily, the same thing that attracted her to baking as a child still rings true. Whether you're creating a lavish cake or a simple chocolate chip cookie, the most important thing is the smile it brings.
